Kevin Hauber has over 25 years’ experience in residential lending, about eight of it with The Mortgage House and a previous five with Roxanne Carr at ARCS Mortgage. This partnership has served them well these many years, and Kevin now heads up the Green Division as Senior Loan Officer for The Mortgage House, Inc. He spearheads the efforts of The Mortgage House to be a leader in green financing, including the origination of EEM’s (Energy Efficient Mortgages) and other financing options to encourage and assist building energy conservation and offer buyers various financial incentives.

Kevin is a graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, with extensive coursework in architecture and environmental design. He served on the U. S. Green Real Estate Council Board of Directors as Executive Vice President of Green Real Estate Education for California-Washington-Oregon-Hawaii, developing continuing education coursework approved by the Department of Real Estate. He is also known as the developer of the first LEED GOLD new construction project approved by the City of San Luis Obispo and is past Board President for SLO Green Build, chairs the SLO Association of Realtors’ Green House Effects Committee and was Treasurer for the Strategic Energy Alliance of San Luis Obispo County. In his efforts to do all he can to promote the availability of green building information and education, he also serves on the Solarize SLO County Selection Committee and was on the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce Sustainability and Resources Committee. By heading the Green Division of The Mortgage House, Kevin works to combine available mortgage products that allow for green improvements with grants and other financial incentives so that consumers can find the funding and mortgage allowances they need to obtain or prepare their homes for the future. The Mortgage House seeks to combine its mortgage experience with qualified builders of green projects, joining together with all possible financing options.
