CalPERS Member Home Loans

The Mortgage House, Inc. is proud to be an authorized lender with the CalPERS Member Home Loan program.   Our principals have been involved with the CalPERS Home Loan Program since its inception, and are proud of our commitment and high quality of service to its members.

Through this program, active, inactive, or retired members of the California Public Employees’ Retirement system (CalPERS), Legislators’ Retirement System (LRS), or the Judges’ Retirement System (JRS) are eligible to apply for a loan with very special benefits.

Qualifying for a CalPERS Home Loan is no different than qualifying for any other type of mortgage loan.   But CalPERS offers members many advantages over other loan programs.   Whether purchasing a home or refinancing an existing one, members can feel confident that they are doing business with a CalPERS approved lender who is committed to giving them the service they deserve at a competitive interest rate.

What are the advantages of a CalPERS Member Home Loan?

  • Security, Protection & Choice – Use your CalPERS home loan benefit and rest easy when obtaining a CalPERS home loan.
  • Up to 100% Financing – With conventional and government CalPERS financing, you can purchase a home with a CalPERS mortgage loan of 95% or greater loan to value (LTV), and a second of up to 5% LTV from a Personal Retirement Account Secured Loan (only offered by CalPERS)
  • FREE 60 day Rate Lock Protection – Lock in your interest rate and eliminate your concerns about interest rate increases.
  • Two FREE CalPERS “Float Downs” – Available only on 60 day rate locks, you will receive the lowest CalPERS interest rate on three applicable dates: The date of the loan lock-in; the date of loan approval; and the date the loan documents are drawn.
  • Controlled Closing Costs – CalPERS has set maximums on some of the fees involved with a home loan, making the CalPERS loan very affordable for borrowers.
